【八丈島からのお知らせ / Notice from Hachijojima】

2025年10月9日に発生した台風22号により、八丈島は大きな被害を受けました。
現在、島民・自衛隊・海上保安庁・東京都が協力して復旧作業を進めています。

一部地域では断水が続いており、町は節水協力を呼び掛けています。
また、一部道路の通行止めや、電気・通信などのライフラインが完全には復旧していない地域もあります。
温泉施設をはじめ、多くの観光施設は再開に時間を要しています。
さらに、復旧作業や物資輸送の影響により、飲食店や宿泊施設などの営業体制にも影響が出ています。

ご来島の際は、こうした状況をご理解のうえ、
節水・節電・交通規制へのご協力をお願いいたします。
皆さまの温かいご理解とご支援が、島の復興の力となります。

Hachijojima was severely affected by Typhoon No.22 on October 9th.
Recovery efforts are ongoing with the support of residents, the Self-Defense Forces,
the Japan Coast Guard, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Some areas are still experiencing water outages, and the town is asking everyone to cooperate in conserving water.
Certain roads remain closed, and lifelines such as electricity and communication have not been fully restored.
Many hot springs and tourist facilities are still under repair and not yet open.
Due to recovery work and delays in supply transportation,
restaurants and accommodations may operate under limited conditions.

We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in saving water and electricity,
and following local restrictions during your stay.
Your warm support and understanding are greatly appreciated as we work toward the island’s recovery.
